Transbay

For the Transbay Redevelopment Project Area, the total housing production goal at full build-out is approximately 3,800 units, of which 36% (or approximately 1,400 units) will be affordable to low- and moderate-income households. Certificate of Preference

The Certificate of Preference is a special document that gives highest priority to applicants in City-sponsored affordable housing lotteries. The former San Francisco Redevelopment Agency issued them to households that were displaced in the 1960s and 1970s.

You can exercise a Certificate of Preference twice - to rent one unit and to buy one unit.

If you do not have the physical certificate, you can still check if you’re eligible for this program.

Visit the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development website for more information.  Click here.

Visit the DAHLIA site to apply for affordable housing.
