Hunters Point Shipyard Public Art

In 2009, the Agency commissioned nine public art pieces for Parcel A of the Hunters Point Shipyard, which was completed in summer of 2010. The one million dollar “Hunters Point Shipyard Public Art” project was one element of the Cultural Historic Recognition Program (CHRP) of the Shipyard which was negotiated as part of the Phase 1 Development and Disposition Agreement for Parcel A.  The artwork was funded from a grant from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration. Below please find public art installations of the selected nine artists.
