Getting Down to Business Program

The SFPUC Contractor Assistance Center is currently accepting applications for their business training program: Getting Down to Business Program (GD2B). The program offers a detailed 12 class course from August 10 to November 15, 2021 and will focus on strengthening your skill set in 6 key areas of business operations: Pursuing Contract Opportunities and Marketing Strategies; Take-Off Development and Production Rate Analysis; Bid Preparation and Cost Analysis; Cost Allocations and Overhead; Financial Forecasting and Statements; and Contract Performance Management. Apply or nominate someone for the program now, before the deadline: Friday July 23, 2021 @ 5PM.

Strategic Partnership Training Program

Clark Construction is currently recruiting potential candidates for the upcoming Fall Session of its small business training: Strategic Partnership Training Program. The executive MBA Style Program is designed to supplement and enhance the capabilities of local, small, disadvantaged, minority, women, veteran owned and diverse businesses in the construction industry. It is structured in an interactive format, with a focus on providing core construction management and business skills to its participants.

Courses are taught by Clark and local industry experts, which include virtual classroom learning, team projects, as well as presentations by the trainees. The Program is free of charge to small businesses/trainees. The deadline for enrollment is August 6, 2021. Enroll at https://www.clarkconstruction.com/spp.

Request for Proposals: Parks Maintenance and Property Management Services Hunters Point Shipyard Phase 1. The Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure has released a Request for Proposal for landscape maintenance, janitorial and property management services for public parks and streetscapes at Phase 1 of the Hunters Point Shipyard and the Shipyard Site Office building at 451 Galvez Avenue. Local small businesses and teams including local small businesses are highly encouraged to submit proposals.
